LOLOLOL, what a great story. I sort of felt, after reading the questions you were asked, like I do when watching Jay Leno ask random questions on the street--Good gravy, are people really that clueless? Why, yes, indeed they are!
LOL. This had me laughing in real life. Thanks for that, I needed it. Sorry that you have to put up with such idiocy, but it at least makes a good story to share. It sounds like you travel a lot. :)
This cracked me up... and do you ever get the random little old grandmas who start jabbering to you in a foreign language? Apparently I look really Filipino to Filipinos.
A friend of ours from Kentucky was surprised when he moved to Mississippi that we had phones! Unbelievable. And we have running water, electricity, and shoes, too.
Man, now I wish I had thought of that!! I don't think it will ever happen again (at least I hope not). Might have also seemed a little rude coming from a kid, lol.
Makes you wonder about folks, doesn't it? I've have learned to expect the unexpected and I'm getting along just fine now. lol We are a peculiar people you know. What else can I say? Nothing!
I'm from the Philippines and there is this one 30'ish American guy asking me where I came from. I answered him. He asked me again, "Can it be located in a map?" I was about to laugh in front of him but I held it back.
