oh, i believe i would be obese there :) i am filipina, i believe not fat but not skinny either, however, when i went to the philippines for a visit, my father was so worried about me, telling me "you've grown so fat! what happened?" hehehe!

at size 10, i'd be morbidly obese there. now THAT is sad!!

Haha, funny post, for a moment I thought you were 'famous' in Japan. Anyway, we are small because of what we eat and our genes too, so there's really no point comparing.

I too lived in Japan (Kobe) for three months. And I agree...everything is soooo small. I'm a little guy and even I felt like King Kong compared to most Japanese.

Interesting post! I'm thinking of moving to Japan sometimes next year to teach English and had actually wondered about this!

I'm by no means a fat person, but I'm not tiny either, and would certainly be bigger than more Japanese women! :O
