I'm going in for the lab test for GHD next Tuesday, I'm kind of happy and nervous. :p I just hope this is what I have so I can take care of it.

I took i look on that site and gosh! he does look about 15. i know how you feel i'm the same and i'm 32 and terrified of looking that young when i'm his age. i was the same i didn't even notice it that much and it didn't really bother me when i was around your age 22 if people said to me i thought you were about 19 i didn't take it to heart that much as it was only about 3 yrs off my age, now them 3 yrs seem to have turned into 15 something like that and you do take it to heart and it does hurt you and what makes it worse for me is my husband is 7 yrs older than me and looks his age. like you said makeup and how you dress does not work . I have no confidence at all with it, its even putting a strain on my marriage as my hub thinks i don't love him any more and thinks its him, its come to the stage where i don't want to kiss or hold his hand in public or even go out for a meal or a drink with him any more in case people are thinking and talking. my hub wants me to get a job, but all the times Ive been put down by people thinking i'm a kid i just can't take anymore I just don't know who i can talk to and where to go for some help on it.

I do have a boyfriend, but he doesn't really see the problem, even though when he met me (I was 17) he and his friends thought I was 14. I think though that because of the way I act around him, which is much more mature than most of the people he knows that are even older than I am, and because he's grown so used to how I look, he doesn't really realized that I still look so young. To be honest, I didn't even notice it that much until people started to really point it out, especially now that I am getting older. I'm terrified that it won't get any better. I feel like this could really hinder my life. Like the poster said, make up does not work, and clothing is a joke. With makeup, I look no older than 16 at most… I still get comments when wearing a business suit that I look like a kid. It is humiliating.

This person is 37 and looks like he's between 12 and 15, also, and he's looked that way for the last 17 years… ugh. I don't want to end up like this guy.

Hi im cas im 32, i know how you feel its like being treated like dirt, and can't be able to get a job because of it you do not want to go for a interview incase the person is thinking well shes got down here shes 32 in your case 22 and she looks half her age. Have you ever been told you look 12 0r 15 by any body do you have a partner ? it gets you down so much if your in a bar having a alcohol drink your find people looking at you thinking is she old enough to be having that, you dare go to a shop to buy some beer or a bottle of wine by your self in case they ask you for some ID. You are still pretty young your only 22 im 32 so you may age and start looking your age soon, i looked my age when i was about 18 once i turned 20 i think i started growing and looking younger than growing older. Im married and sick of people thinking my lovely husband is my dad he just can't see how its getting me down so much he tells me i should take it as a compliment people saying i look younger than my age, you may not mind if its a few years but being told you look half your age it does hurt you and makes you lack confidence.

Hi, I just stumbled upon your blog while googling this topic. Regarding you looking 12, I have the same problem. I'm 22, look between 12 and 15 and get treated like dirt for it. Haven't been able to get a job because of it, I was even refused an application at a place where there was a huge, red “Help Wanted” sign outside. On another site, I read about a possibility of being growth hormone deficient, and that could account for looking so young. I'm going to get this checked out with my doc this thursday, but if you're interested maybe you can get that checked out too?

I know how you feel im 32 soon be 33 and look around half my age, i am married and sick of people thinking my husband is my dad and im his daughter, it does'nt matter what i do to make my self look my age it does'nt work. I have no confidence at all and i can't even work its not that i don't want to i've just been put down by so many people, my last job about 6 yrs ago now a woman asked me if i had just left school i felt like just crying and when i told her No im married and my age i dont think she could believe it, last year on our holiday a waiter thought i was my husbands daughter. I Just don't know what i can do to make my self look my age than people thinking im a child. I hate it when people say to you i would love to look years younger and take it as a compliment, What! looking half your age, i just would love to look my age. Im scared of looking like this when im 4O and wondering if i will ever age.

I get you 100% A lot of people tell you that it's a compliment to be treated this way but it's very painful. Even minor things become a pain in the a**. I'm 25 but I am told I look like I'm twelve. I can't even pay with a credit card without people automatically assuming I'm using my mom's card and refuse to help me before even asking for my ID. I've gone to bars and been refused in because they think my ID is fake. I went to Vegas but it sucked because I was harassed by security every 2 seconds. I was carded 3 times within a 5 minute time frame. When I go out to dinner with friends the waiters won’t even look at me while addressing the table. Even when I ask questions they’ll turn to the person across from me and answer the question to them instead.
People treat me like I'm a kid wherever I go and I'm not respected at work, despite the fact that I graduated with a 4.0 GPA with 2 majors and a minor while working full time throughout college. I can tell when new people are hired and they are introduced to me they sort of pause in astonishment and don't even go to shake my hand. I think it holds me back a lot. The most annoying thing is when people assume that I am this cute, adorable little porcelain doll that doesn’t like to have a good time. I love to go fishing and hiking and hang with the guys but I’m typically hit on my men who think I like to paint my toenails pink every night.

However, I've grown to accept that I'll always look cute and adorable : ) I get away with a lot more than most people my age. I've gotten really good at the "innocent" act and guys eat that stuff up. Gosh they are stupid.
The good news is that while most people are judgmental and ignorant, not everyone is. I'm madly attracted to older men and luckily for us a lot of them are sick of dealing with whiny old hags. Stay a kid at heart and you'll always have men running after you ; ) A lot of friends will say ‘I don’t understand how you can have so many guys running after you when you look so young and I can’t even get a date.” My answer to them…”I’m not a bitch like you.” ; ) Even when I’m a complete b*** people think it’s cute. Enjoy it.
