Wow! I couldn’t imagine the feeling of being born elsewhere and never visiting. I lived in Korea for 3 years due to my dad’s job and graduated high school there. It really is a fantastic place and has changed a lot over the decades to a first world nation. Although there are plenty of things about Korea I’m not quite fond of, I really loved the place.

Do you know your birth mother? I know of a few other people who were adopted from Korea, and none of which knows their birth mother. I use to volunteer in a Korean orphanage so I know a little about Korea and adoption. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I’ll be more than happy to exchange emails

Hi Tellie: I am really glad you decided to join in the Blog Hop because otherwise I probably would never have found your blog. Yep, most of the blogs do seem to be mommy ones, mine too I'll admit. But it's so nice to come across one not in the circle of blogs I normally read. I am especially interested in yours because you say you lived in Korea. Might I ask why and for how long? I'm curious because I was adopted from there when I was two and how no memories of my native country at all. Sometimes I get home sick or maybe it is just in my head… haha but being home sick is no fun. I hope you feel better. Sometimes it is good to be that way and sometimes it isn’t because you are accustomed to being at other cities and places where you once lived.

It must be both fun and also challenging to be an expat, having to move from one home to another and now not having a place to call your hometown. when I first moved here in US, i had many days and nights of crying too, missing home. I guess it’s so different and can be pretty complicated for you…Moving to Asia, especially East Asia, things seem to be more restricted up there than here ( i live in south east Asia ). Feel better soon.
