Home Sweet Home

Just in case you were wondering, my research is over! The topic I had to analyze was Thailand’s forestry potential to sequester carbon (meaning, to take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere). My presentation went very well. Not like you care, but I care, and that’s all that matters so I shall blog about it because that was 2 months of my life spent researching Thailand.

I presented my research in Michigan. They have a beautiful campus.

And even though I had to say goodbye to 35 wonderful people I spent 2 months getting to know…

I am happy to be home. In my own bed.  Beneath my own WARM thick non itchy sheets. Even if me and my mom have already started arguing…but I shall save that for another post.

Ahh, home sweet home.

  • Congrats on being done with your research! Those summer programs are pretty intense but the bonds you forge with people can be so strong-- I'm still friends with people from a science research program from back in high school. :-) Enjoy home!
  • Of course we care! Two months of research. That must have been an amazing experience. Congratulations on finishing and on your presentation.

It always feels good once we're back home.
  • Hey, I CARE! :) Congratulations on finishing the research. I would be interested in reading about your results. Were you at the University of Michigan or Michigan State University? (or somewhere else?) I was just at MSU yesterday, myself.
  • I'm not 100% sure of which school I was at. It was either the University of ichigan or Michigan State University. My gut instincts tell me it was the former rather than the latter.
  • Yeah, I would guess it was University of Michigan from the picture, since I don't recognize it from Michigan State, but I am not always the most observant person on the earth either. :P
  • congratulations for finishing your research and for the presentation. it is always great to be back home.

Welcome home Tellie! And congrats on finishing the research. :p
  • Glad to hear all went well and that is quite an accomplishment.
  • Welcome home! I am glad you had a nice experience, though!

It's always good to be back home especially after 2 months. And yay to the completion of the presentation, it sounded like it was super involved so the research must have been extensive.
  • Congrats on your presentation! I agree about coming home from college. It's SO nice to not live in dorm or apartment, but at the same time, it's difficult to adjust to living with parents again.
  • Good to hear you're home Tellie :) Welcome Home :D
  • It's always cool to spend weeks doing academic stuff! It seems nerdy and tiring but when it's all over you know it was an awesome experience. =) LOVE that building.
  • Hey we all should care! It's something your proud of! Sorry to see you had to leave your friends behind. I know you had a good time spending that time with them. Glad to hear your presentation went well. Have a great night!
  • Love the photos, especially of that building. I'm a nerd for architecture.

Thank you for your well wishes.

that project actually sounds interesting...so, can Thailand's forests help us breathe or no? lol
  • Wow that is a beautiful campus! Glad you had a good time and are home!
  • Aw glad you got to get home! Those kinds of experiences are always wonderful, and I'm glad you had it. IN the end, however, there's no place like your own bed.
That's awesome you were researching Thailand! It's one of my favorite countries. :)
