The post where here I ramble…

I’m not dead!

Yeah, yeah I know I’m not posting with any sort of regularity, and for that I am sorry.

You see, once school starts life becomes…well..boring.  I wake up in the morning, I shower, I eat, I go to class, I come back to my room, nap, go to class, eat, class, eat, sleep, shower, ad infinitum.

Although I was awaken to a screaming RA at to-early-o’clock in the morning because there was soap on the sink. Why the hell would you wake me up to tell me there’s soap on the sink!!?? And obviously she wanted a confession: who did it this time.  It doesn’t take a genius to realize the SOAP DISPENSER IS LEAKING…YOU MORON!! Mind you the RA has the filthiest room in the building.  And ironically enough, she’s going to wake up the whole floor about a cleaning product. (Gee…I sure hope she doesn’t find this blog)…

Like I said. Boring.

Oh the things I must inure and endure as a college student.

Woe.

Is.

Me.

</sarcasm>

I did get this horrible neck spasm/cramp on this past Saturday which literally radiated down my spine and had me unable to walk for almost a full 24 hours, but even that semi-interesting part of my life has come to an end (although I’m still quite sore). I’m guessing the neck spasm/cramp warrants a trip to el doctora.  I’d understand if I woke up and my neck was cramped. But if I’m walking around all honkey dorey and all of a sudden BAM! my neck starts cramping,  I can’t walk, I’m in excruciating pain, and calling 911 becomes a high likelihood..I’m gonna take a wild guess that’s not normal.  Especially since I’ve been dealing with unexplainable muscle twitches and spasms for way too long. Only thing is. I can’t afford the stupid copays on my weekly salary of approximately zero dollars and zero-zero cents.

And this is where I talk about Obama.

I hope the health care bill gets passed. No one should go broke because they are sick. End of story.  Yes every American should be entitled to health care. Because every one in America has the right to life, liberty… and The Pursuit of Happyness.

And here is where I talk about Will Smith.

That stupid movie has been on HBO or some similar movie channel  too many times in the past 2 months. I see it at least twice a day while flipping through the channels.

As you can see the fact that I’m rambling (and I never rambled before) proves just one thing:.  being a college student is boring…

Until the weekend of course.

I've been at university for the past two years, now starting a job is exactly the same, except replace "class" with "work". It sucks
  • I agree about the healthcare plan. It is a right, no matter what anyone else says. Plus there is a little know General Welfare clause, in the Constitution, that states taxes can be raised if it is for the good of the whole people. I hope you had a non boring weekend.
  • we pretty much almost have the same routine :) only that i go to school to teach, and well, I enjoy it :)

anyway, like you, i hardly have time to blog too, and like you, i agree everyone should be entitled to healthcare.
  • ThingsThatAreMe
I hope your neck feels better soon. And yes, Healthcare 4 All!
  • Your RA needs to relax about unimportant things like soap in the sink or she will always be stressed.

I understand your lack of consistency since starting school. I'm sure I'll go through the same thing once I finish my Maternity leave in November.
  • Wow your RA sounds like a bit of a pain. A hypocritical pain at that. I would've given her the evil eye. I also hope the health care bill gets passed. I've known too many people who have died because they couldn't afford to be helped. Something has to give.
  • HA! Being a college student on the weekend def. makes up for a borning Monday-Friday.

I've been having a spasam like that in my neck, too. It happens randomly and it's so bad I can't turn my head (thus making it difficult to drive). I've found a heating pad helps. I hope it gets better for you!
  • Hello, I just stumbled upon your blog today and couldn't help but feel some of the RA pain. In my sophomore year of college, I had an RA that always wanted to talk in the bathroom. She especially wanted to talk to me when I was brushing my teeth--when my mouth was full.

In response to the comments about pooping in the elevators: someone pooped in a shower and left hot water running over it when I lived in the dorms.

And to think that I sometimes miss dorm life!
  • We might just have the same RA because my RA tried to talk to me while I was using mouth wash earlier on this week (or maybe that was last?) I just kept on swishing with a head nod of recognition.

Oh and shower pooping, that did happen once too although the elevator seems to be the prime location for doing a #2. Someone also pooped in the bathroom stall...how in the world could one miss the toilet??. Amazing how many people experience the SAME stuff even at totally different colleges!
  • LOL I agree with you. We shouldn't go broke with health care. The health care I have we end up paying out our butts and then the ridiculous copays which are expensive. Sigh... see now you got me going... I hope you get to feeling better soon. Yikes on getting woken up over soap. I would have been so ticked. Good Luck with your classes!
  • I totally feel your pain. RA's can be ridiculous. I mean, soap? Really? That's a cause for great concern? My freshman year, someone pooped in the elevator. The interrogations that followed that disaster were epic. Then, the whole dorm was fined, unless someone handed over the true identity of the mad pooper. Judging by the fines, it takes no less than $5,000 to successfully pick up #2. So, soap is way better than that! Your RA should be happy people are using it, if anything! :)
  • I don't know what is up with people and pooping in the elevators but that's a regular occurrence around here, especially in the male dorms...makes me shudder just thinking about it.
  • KristinaP
Neck, back pain and spasms are the worst kind of pain in the world!
  • Oh how I definitely understand....Ehmm, Im a student too. Been seeing Wedding Crashers for 3 weeks because Im lazy and too tired to switch the DVD, so I just keep playing it. Neck spasms, huh? I got one of those on tuesday. Its better now, thank God. I think its due to stress, or that girl who's screaming woke you up. That probably had something to do with it...You got Startled i guess...

I like the post. Sometimes we do need to ramble. I did a couple of days ago about my blast from the past.
