Feeding the ducks

When I use to live in England it was my honor to be in the presence of the Queen’s ducks. They occupied a pond close to where I lived. These ducks weren’t just regular ducks, they seriously belonged to the Queen. If you just so happened to accidentally run over one of these ducks with your car, you’d better run for it because you’d have to pay a VERY hefty fine, as these were the “Queen’s ducks” (totally off topic, but in my British town if you hit a cow you have to pay for the cow, all the milk it would produce, and the cows that cow would have had and all the milk they would have produced, and all the cows they would have had and all t he milk they would produce? it would be cheaper to buy a new cow…but NOOOO…anywhoo back to the subject at hand). Hypothetically speaking, if one these royal ducks were to choke on a piece of bread I gave them, I would be in legal trouble. So, if a bunch of ducks decided to cross the road, stop midway, and sit, you better believe traffic would have to stop until the ducks decided otherwise.
Maybe it’s the American in me that doesn’t understand why so much respect should be given to a bunch of birds (sorry if I have offended anyone from the England), but either way, I got to feed some ducks for the first time in my life.
I ended up attending a potluck and this pond just so happened to be nearby
I saw a small family feeding the ducks. They looked so content and happy.
The girl was especially fond of the ducks.
It looked like so much fun and since these were not the “Queen’s ducks”, I knew I could finally join in, without fear of killing a duck!
I ran inside to get some bread and came out to feed the ducks with my friend. By the time I had come back, the little boy was in trouble for attempting to jump in the water (or something along those lines), and they quickly left.
Me and my friend continued to feed the ducks anyway.
That is not me. That is my friend
Finally at the tender age of 20-something I got to feed the blasted ducks.
Of course if I ever were to run over the queens ducks, I’d keep on rolling. No ducks were harmed in the making of this post. Promise!
I’m a very busy girl…

As you can see I haven’t had the time to return the many comments that I’ve received. I usually I do within a day or two.
You see I am very busy and don’t have as much free time as I once had. I haven’t been writing new blog posts either…nope…instead I’ve been recycling blog posts I had on my blogger account before I switched over to wordpress…. I know. Lame.
Hopefully this weekend I can find some time to catch up in the blog land. Although, I have been doing a lot of young-adult/college things lately…especially at night *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* these things take up a lot of my time.
Edited to add: It’s summer and brown is so…dark so I’ve changed my template to green!!! I’m going to make a few different colored templates so I can change the color scheme periodically. It took me all but 5 minutes this time around..the first time around it took me several days hours.

So I mentioned I am currently out of town for the next 7 weeks or so. I guess I should provide a little more details. I know all this ambiguity is killing ya. I am in Indiana.
Well, I flew in last weekend into this immaculately furnished apartment.
I was delighted that the sheets made of, what appears to be a thin layer of cheap itchy felt!!
Oh boy are the nights just lovely. Especially with the lows dipping into the forties at times. The sheets are just the perfect way to stay warm!
I know you love what we have done with the place. (Yes I am being sarcastic!)
Well what am I doing here? To be honest I don’t know. I just got paid $1,000+ to sleep in all day and wander around my new temporary home. I should have “work” to do sometime this week…maybe. But that’s what they said last week. Either way I’ve gotten to meet a great group of new friends and here is approximately a third of the group (nope I’m not in that picture
)
I kind of enjoy being paid to be earth friendly (i.e. laying in bed all day instead of polluting the environment by driving around in a car, heck i even use less oxygen by staying calm, cool, and collected beneath my warm itchy covers, while playing sims3)
Yes, I promise to take more pictures, but please bear with me. I’m still getting over the lack of my Nikon and the lack of my new lens (which I have heard has FINALLY arrived at my house safe and sound!)

The cafeteria food.
I’d swear they’re trying to poison me…
…except I don’t swear. Every time I eat in my schools cafeteria I get stomach pains. Some days they aren’t that bad but other days they are intense.
I’ve lost over 10lbs since Freshman year. The freshman 15 DOES NOT EXIST AT MY SCHOOL!!! They feed us stuff that dogs wouldn’t eat (I’ve seen it).
If you think I’m over exaggerating. Think again. I have never been more serious about a health hazard in my life. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Un dia mas.
One more day.

Sometimes I wonder how people even get into college. I don’t mean to be rude either. I seriously wonder…

It’s that time of the year. So I probably won’t be updating for the next week or so. Wish me luck!!
